Niagara Falls

The pictures on this page were all taken in Niagara Falls using the Mavica.  I think I took over 200 pictures during that trip.  Since Mavica film is "free," I figured I would just keep on snapping to make sure I ended up with some really great pictures.  When all was said and done, I think I had around 150 that I was very happy with.  The ones below are just a small sampling of the Falls.  In order to keep this page from taking forever to load, I downsized the pictures somewhat which in turn degraded their quality.  But, I figured people would rather see slightly degraded quality than have to wait 10 minutes for each page to load.

This picture is the Canadian Falls from the Canadian side.  The boats you see are the tourist ride "Maid of the Mist."  The boats travel up to the Falls and then turn around.

Another view from the Canadian side.  Maid of the Mist is a "must do" for anyone visiting there. The view is unmatched by anything on land.  They give you ponchos before you board, and even with the ponchos everyone gets soaked.

This picture is of the American Falls, and it's also taken from the Canadian side.

This picture taken from the American side shows the American Falls in the foreground and the Canadian Falls in the background.  People say the Canadian Falls is more spectacular, but I'd have to disagree.  I think they're both spectacular in different ways.

This is at the top of the Falls taken from the Canadian side.  The water at this location flows at around 40 miles per hour.  The roar of the water flow is deafening.
