Nature at its Best

People with digital cameras often take the cameras everywhere with them.  One just never knows when there might be something begging for a picture.  I have always been partial to nature scenes to the disappointment of people whom I show my pictures to (Mom!) who would much prefer to have people in the pictures.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  I just loved the colors and the way I was able to capture it with fresh rain drops. The flower was one of the few in my garden that year that was actually pretty. The droplets on it are from a brief rain shower a few minutes earlier.  It takes a while to load on the web page, but I just couldn't bring myself to degrade this one by shrinking it down.  In my opinion, it's worth the wait!

This picture was taken on the way home from the grocery store one day.  My friend insisted that it would make a good picture.  I had my doubts, but I do think it's kind of neat.

I was actually trying to get a picture of a woodpecker who was working at destroying the eves on this shed, but he got shy so I ended up with just the shed.  I thought it was kind of a neat picture anyway.
