The final way that I go about making money on the net is by entering sweepstakes. There are thousands of sites out there begging to give stuff away to people willing to give them a little information. Remember - don't use your regular email account when entering. Set up a separate free email account to use since you'll be spammed to death after entering a few of these. If you don't like receiving junk snail mail, then entering sweepstakes is not for you. You'll end up on every mailing list around. I just carry my stack of mail to the shred machine every day and feed most of it in. That said, if you're ready and willing, there is plenty being given away. I haven't won anything big, but I have won $1000 in gift certificates to Target and an MP3 player. Not that I knew what an MP3 player was at the time! But, you can always sell things like that if you don't want them. I normally make it a practice to only enter sweepstakes for cash. I figure if I win big, I don't want to have to dip into my savings to pay the taxes, so cash is best. Plus, you have to draw the line somewhere or you could spend 36 hours a day entering sweepstakes and never be done. I do, on occasion, enter ones that aren't for cash if I happen to come across one for something I really need or want - like a washing machine! The sites below are some of the best sites I've found for keeping you up to date on all the newest sweepstakes. I suggest you save the sweepstakes to your bookmarks. I have a separate bookmark folder for sweepstakes, and then I have sub-folders within that folder for "one per household," "once per month," "once per week," and "once per day." If you don't bookmark them like that, you'll never keep them straight. For obvious reasons, I don't bother to bookmark the ones that only allow one entry. I enter for everyone who lives with me as long as the rules don't state only one per household.
Those are the best sites I've found for locating the newest sweepstakes. Remember to check the sweepstakes rules when entering. If they don't say "one per household," then enter everyone for more chances. I'm hoping to win a million dollars by the end of the year. If I do ... well .... you'll never know!
